Lemon-Thyme Seasoning Salt

Ingredients
4 lemons, zest only
20 sprigs fresh thyme
1/2 cup kosher salt
1 Tbs coarse ground pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 150° F. Spread the zest on a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer. Place in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes to dry. Lay the thyme sprigs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in the oven for 3 hours, or until leaves are completely dry and easily separate from the stems.
- Once dry, pull the thyme leaves from the stems by holding the end of the stems and pulling down. Discard stems.
- In a food processor, add lemon zest, thyme leaves, salt, pepper and garlic. Pulse to chop and combine. Pour into a jar; seal tightly. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months.
